so i thought id say a quick hello..ive just bought my first cosworth its a 4x4 sapphire white dont no a lot about them but always wanted 1 from when i was a kid about 15years later i have 1...i bought it but now found out it has a few things missin it has 803s greens...its meant 2 have an escort cossie engine dont no how true sounds ok but its missing uprated breather system and all the things its meant 2 have so a bit more money and a good setup hoping all is ok..as it is over fueling and dont like been on boost as it pops and bangs..some of you mite no it the car ill post some pics...at a later date...anyway hello all im sham..

thanks mate....ill keep you all posted been on the phone 2 matt lewis 2 day...ordering some things from him...ive done a compression test on my engine 2 day....and it has come out at 11bar or 160psi across all pots hows that sound is this about right....thanks sham

im from birmingham...well at mo i have brought groupA coil groupA petrol pump 044 that ill have 2 rewire....alloy rad and rs500 spec intercooler there air tec been told ther not that good but i wont be doin track days and things like that so i think they will do 4 wat i want them 4..timming belt kit front crank seal and a baliey oil breather seperater and fitting kit...ive been told not 2 lower it 2 much as i will get problems unless i put uprated engine mounts and longer driveshafts...so how low can you lower a 4x4 before it gives me problems....the car came from wiggan it was for sale on passionford but when i got it the hazardlights never worked the interiorlight didnt come on when you opened the doors and on dash lights come on they are all sorted..i had problems with the speedo so bought a cable from burton power but it doesnt go up and down smooth but then again its not a for part...as i cant find a new ford 1...i got told that the sierra xr4i 2.9i was the same found 1 of them ordered it got it in the post and it is 2 short..so i think ill find a second hand 1 before i start playin with the speedo drive....after it has had evrything put on and set up and everything is ok fingers crossed lookin 2 get a shortshift linkage 4 the stick but ive been told things about these 2...well on 2wd dont no if its the same on 4x4......see how everythings sham

nothing wrong with aitrec mate, they do well in a lot of tests especially for the money

Nice looking car . I had a 4x4 for 4 years , great family car . I used to drive it heavy footed and paid the price , once launched it , ripped the drivers side drive shaft out , ripped the engine mounts out and buggered the gearbox up all at once . Never learned and went through 4 gearboxes in 2 yrs . It was only 329 BHP and was lowered 40mm . Replaced the drivers side shaft with a XR4x4 one and it never had a problem with the driveshaft popping out and replaced the engine mounts with vibratechnic ones which i still have from when i broke the car . Moral of the story , dont rev it to 5k then rip the clutch up as it wont last long

where are you from mate...wat would you be lookin 4 4 the engine mounts..and comin back 2 the driveshafts did you use 2.8 or 2.9 ones..the other problem i have is the speedo the needle is all over the place its not smooth if you get wat i mean...ive tried changing the clocks and ive got a new cable from burton power and its still the same....are all 4x4 like this as its doing my head in and i havent even got the car on the road yet...i only take it up and down my road so its not just sittin there......but hopfully it will be out 4 the shows comin this summer...
