in 1988 my dad was asked through work to go to the motor show and help out on the ERF trucks stand this was when the trucks and cars was the in the same show so we went up for the day to see my dad with my mum and sister

when we got there they had the saffs on the stand and also had them outside on a test track for customers to have a bit of a play and 2 of them got pinched from outside oooopppsss

this was my first memory of the saff cossies i think they look ace prefer them over the 3 doors which a lot of people will think im mad

plus i also had a base model sierra when i was younger and put a 2ltr pinto in it think it just came from there i think. always thought the cosworths were special

A friend used to always take me out is his Saph and from then on have always wanted one, so waited until I was in a position to buy and bought my gloss black 4x4.

Mate of mine bought a Saff when i had my Escort Turbo and i needed something that could keep up so i bought the 3dr, just wish i had opted out of the cossies when he did, i would actually have known what money is then, lol

Watching Touring cars and Rallying in the late 80's early 90's did me in.
